The very first UK Nett Zero Carbon Restaurant opens in Market Drayton

Featured recently in the Metro (see above link), the McDonalds Restaurant at Market Drayton, the very first Nett Carbon Zero restaurant in the UK, opens it doors.

250 square metres of recycled materials were used within the construction, including over 500mtrs of Durakerb. From the exterior cladding to the interior wall art, recycled materials were used throughout to create a restaurant that was built and now operates by eliminating more carbon than it produces.

Constructing in this way is a true example of modern design which considerably reduces our environmental impact yet this restaurant looks no different to any other. The environmental benefits are somewhat hidden despite being fully integrated and literally embodied within the very fabric of the site.

This is modern design and construction.
