Whole Cost & Price List2019-01-17T12:17:10+00:00

“The increase in productivity alone can provide for considerable cost savings when using Durakerb. So when you design, plan and cost for the reduction in time and effort across a project, Durakerb will often prove a best option all round.”

DuraKerb: Whole Cost & Price List

Improved Efficiency & Productivity

The base material cost and subsequent market rate for a simple and basic concrete kerb is low therefore it is important for us to ensure Durakerb is priced as cheaply as possible to the user. The reclaim, grading, washing and re-processing of waste plastic has a cost, and this is often much greater than the cost of digging material out of the ground. Prices have therefore been set across the board at the lowest rate possible to encourage increased use and ensure that when the whole installed costs are assessed, a sustainable, easier, quicker, safer and simpler option is cost viable for almost any project.

Enhanced terms are also available to merchants and supply chain partners. Our specific pricing policy is there to make Durakerb as attractive a commercial solution as possible and readily accessible to all users across the UK, Ireland & Mainland Europe.

Typical 500m Project.

It would provide a destination for 547 Durakerb standard units, equal to 99,554 plastic bottles, caps and closures.

Typical Costing Old/Hard Way = 70% Lay – 30% Product Cost.

Durakerb New/Easy Way = 70% Product Cost – 30% Lay.

Using Durakerb does demand a different approach to costing as it turns the material and labour balance on its head.

Whole Installed Cost includes;

  • Traditional – Cost of Kerb – Kerb Bed & Brace – Plant & Labour
  • Durakerb – Cost of Durakerb – Kerb Bed & Brace – Plant & Labour/4
  • Durakerb – Based on 300% increase in productivity means 1 unit traditionally laid for every 4, you can safely assume that a 300% increase in productivity will undoubtedly give you additional overall savings across the job especially when you are saving shift changes and reduced days on the network.
  • Also, repeat use of a lighter product will bring additional benefits and cost savings/improvements over time and with greater use. Below is a list of things, all of which cost, but will not be in your lay cost specific to any singular job.

Typical Whole Cost Comparison

We accept that cost and value are important but that is not always just about money. When you are choosing a product for your project you must also ask yourself;

What value/cost do I include for my reduced impact on the environment?

What value do I include for making the job easier, safer, and simpler for all involved?

When you look at the whole cost and whole picture, Durakerb can prove to be a best option in many instances.

The cost of reclaiming and then controlling waste plastic, washing, grading, grinding and re-making will always be more expensive than using material out of the ground. But we do make it as cheap as we possibly can and consistent to everyone who wants to use Durakerb, see the below for product price list.
